062200002533 (1)The European Court of Human Rights has accepted one more complaint of convicted activists Giyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov, stated the message of the European Court. The complaint relates to a search conducted in the apartment of activists and illegal seizure. The lawyers of the convicts noted that they filed such a complaint with the courts inside the country, but appeals were rejected. The complaint to the European Court of Justice states that the decisions of local courts in connection with the search and seizure violated the rights of young activists provided for in articles 6, 8 and 10 of the European Convention.

The plaintiffs are asking the European Court to recognize the violation of these articles and to ensure the payment of fair compensation for violations. Giyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov were detained on May 10 last year on charges of distributing drugs and sentenced to 10 years each. However, the real reason is the political graffiti written on the monument to Heydar Aliyev: “With the holiday of slaves!” and “Down with the system!”
